چکیده
Objective: It has been established that metabolic syndrome is prevalent in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The objective of this study was to investigate the effect at baseline on new-onset cardiovascular disease (CVD) SLE. Methods: demographic and lupus-related clinical variables 229 SLE were collected from Korean Lupus Network (KORNET) registry. Metabolic defined by modified National Cholesterol Education Program’s Adult Treatment Panel III (NCEP ATP III) criteria. Binary logistic regression analysis applied identify including related pre-existing CVD time enrollment or during 3 years follow-up. Results: Patients had higher rates than those without ( p = .022), whereas there no difference frequency between CVD. Logistic revealed number its components associated CVD, together body mass index hypertriglyceridemia. not increased risk On contrary, anti-dsDNA antibody titer, anti-ds DNA positivity, lower diastolic blood pressure Conclusion: This demonstrated predictive follow-up, although it

Skin reaction to capsaicin in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus compared to that in healthy controls
Background: The interaction between nervous and immune systems has been under investigation. Transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1(TRPV1) is a ligand gated calcium channel expressed by sensory neurons which mediates neurogenic inflammatory response. Substance p which can be released following exposure to capsaicin is a TRPV1 inducer, shown to have altered concentration and function in m...
